Both Satellite TV and cable TV services offer you the same kind of channels and showtimes. However, cable TV may offer you local programming that is not carried by the satellites. Satellite TV, on the other hand, has a wider range of sports and national news channels. With satellite TV, you will be able to enjoy a greater variety of services at a lower price. 

Bundled services:

Cable companies offer wonderful services in which you get to enjoy cable, internet, and phone services in a single subscription. However, these days, certain satellite companies have also started to offer bundles to customers. The bundles with cables are cheaper than bundles with satellites. The service provider may also provide you with exciting deals and offers. You will also get one will at the end of each month.

Contract:

 Cable companies mostly offer monthly packages to the customers. As a result, you will be able to cancel or upgrade your plan whenever you want to. Satellite companies, on the other hand,  have contracts that can last up to one year. You will not be able to change your plan during that tenure of time. However, these days, few companies are providing upgradation options also.
